Portugal Telecom (PT) is the leading telecommunications and multi-media service provider in the Portuguese market. Its Real Estate property is constituted by approximately 2.000 buildings, from which 400 are managed by PT-PRO.
The implementation of ARCHIBUS was started two years ago. The PT-PRO head office in Lisbon was used for the pilot project, with the implementation of Space Management. Over the last year, the system was migrated to the Enterprise version of ARCHIBUS and two new applications were introduced: Service Desk and On Demand Work.
Before the Service Desk can be rolled-out to the entire organization, the integration with SAP and FileNET has to be completed. The Service Request screens will be integrated with the SAP Portal, purchase orders and invoice numbers will be exchanged with SAP and the automatically generated documents will routed to FileNET. This work is now in the final stages. PROCOS software engineers are working alongside the PT's own SAP specialists to build the dynamic bi-directional link between ARCHIBUS, SAP and FileNET. This work will be completed before the end of February.
