For PROCOS, a smart building is a sustainable one. It is a building that can function optimally and interact with its users, through its design and through technology, integrated processes, and innovative applications. Smart buildings are dynamic working environments in which parameters like maintenance, energy management, indoor climate, and the employee journey are thought through.
As new technologies are making our built environments smarter, we see a tremendous increase in the stream of complex data. This complexity is further amplified by rapidly changing user demands and regulatory pressures. Many organisations have a purely technical approach and struggle to capture the right data or make sense of them.
First step in any project is therefore measuring how smart a building already is with an SRI (smart readiness indicator) quickscan and analysis. Next, we set goals ranging from improving the employee journey to optimising the use of the work environment.

Project-based work is what PROCOS does best. We tackle all projects with a methodology based on the PMBOK Project Life Cycle by the Project Management Institute (PMI). Our workflow is always the same: intake, analysis, concept, implementation, testing, training, support.
In the implementation phase, our teams use the tried and tested Scrum method. This helps us use the time and resources available in the most effective way possible. In short ‘sprints’, we install, test, and improve as we go. Agile working is at the heart of what we do: bringing people, processes, technology, and workspace together wherever we can.
